Healthy Tips I swear by...

Its that dreaded time of year again....

FLU & COLD SEASON!!!! 

Cough, Cough, Sneeze!! YUCK!!!!

I swear it hits earlier and earlier each year!! I'm fully prepared though. 

I thought I would re post some healthy tips I swear by....

1. Frequent hand-washing, when you can't wash Purell!!

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face. If I have a itch I will use the inside of my shirt to itch it or a tissue.

3. Gargle with warm salt water.... I always gargle at the end of every night. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. Don't underestimate this simple, yet inexpensive but powerful preventative method.

4. A daily sinus rinse... Again I always do mine before I start my nightly treatments. I use a packet per nostril! Similar to 3 above, salt water is very effective In bringing down viral population.

5. Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vit C and D or take a vit C and D supplement. I take so many vitamins I think its very important to keep up on all your vitamin levels so you can stay healthy.

6. Drink as much warm liquids as you can. This is a pretty easy step I love my coffee!!! Some yummy examples and some of my favs are coffee, hot choc, tea, or a hot chai. You can even put some emergen C in hot water. Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive.

Another thing if you're sick refrain from hugging or shaking peoples hands the worst is when you hug someone and then they are hacking up a lung a second later and telling you how sick they are... Um thanks for the hug!!

Holiday Oil Gas Stations

I donated for ALL of my Cysters and Fibros!! We ALL need to stick together!! I love you ALL!! ❤

Utah Peeps!!! Head to a Holiday Oil Gas station they are selling $1 pin ups at their gas stations. The campaign will run through Sunday, September 7. Last year, this campaign raised over $16,500 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  As of Sun we were a little over $8,000 let's surpass last years numbers and get that much closer to finding a cure!! I know we can do it!! 

 

Please share with all your friends and family and encourage them to stop by any Holiday Oil gas station, make a donation, and thank these great employees for their efforts and support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!!

She has the best Lil Giggle

They say laughter is the best medicine and so thats exactly what we did!! Lots of giggling going on tonight with this adorable CF Princess Warrior. 

This Lil princess made my night...it was so great to finally meet her and chat via FT.  Who knew we were "twinkies" I adore her and I adore her real Twinkie and of course her Momma too! 

Sending lots of love your way my Lil Twinkie and to you too Katie. I hope you get to bust outta the joint soon and get to have a good night sleep in your own high bed.
