Squish Squash

One of my new favorite meals... Spaghetti squash!

It is so yummy, so healthy and so easy to make. I just poke holes all over the squash then steam it by throwing it in the microwave, 10-15 min depending on the size of the squash. Water will escape out the holes, let it sit for 3-5 min then cut in half. Take a spoon to scoop out the guts(seeds and stuff) then scrape the inside with a fork and ta da you have noodles!

I have been eating it with butter, lemon pepper and parmesan cheese and a lil bit of spaghetti sauce. It is also good minus the spaghetti sauce. Or if you are in the mood for something sweet a lil butter, brown sugar and cinnamon make a real tasty treat! Try it!

The vet just called and Lills' surgery was a success! There were clear margins on the biopsy! This means they got all the cancer!!! Ha Ha take that stupid cancer! Lilly is my lil ROCK *!!

Stitches come out next week and then all should be back to normal! Can't wait!

long day... with 4 really long hours

Lilly came home around 4pm. The surgery went well and the doc is hopeful for clear margins. Biopsy results come back next week and then she gets her stitches out in 2 weeks. She got her teeth cleaned too and then he also found another lil spot that he cut out so she is very sore.

She wanted nothing to do with me when I brought her home it was so sad it broke my heart...

She was so sleepy and still drugged she was fighting it bad but. 4 long hours later and 1 scrambled egg dinner she was fast asleep in my lap. She loves me again and can't get enough of me :)

We have been just taking it easy and keeping her quiet. Which is easier said then done she's a lil rock*

Headed in

Look how sad she is....

She definitely knows something is up her blankey and baby doll (that Makena gave her last night so she could have it at the doc to be brave) never come in the car.

Osc has been a lil sad too without his favorite sister. He just barely ate breakfast and he hasn't left my side at all.

I was hoping they would let me scrub in to hold her paw... But no such luck. I am going to call them at 11 am to check in they are going to be so sick of me by the end of the day.

Cancer can Suck it!!

My babies had their yearly check ups last week and 2 wks ago I noticed a spot on Lills that I never noticed before I am always checking her for bumps, moles, freckles and everything in between, because she was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with a mass cell tumor. Unfortunately after being cancer free for 3 yrs its reared its ugly head again.

:(

She has to have surgery soon... they have to remove all of the tissue down to her muscle. So another ugly scar, it breaks my heart. Good news... if there is any I guess, is that I caught it early and they should be able to get rid of the cancer with the surgery. Fingers and paws crossed!

So in the mean time we are playing ball, eating lots of treats, and getting in lots of snuggling time in.

Oscar had a great check up, his ears looked good and the doc said he could lose a few lbs even tho he is only 31 lbs his highest has been 36. I feel pretty good about his weight right now, especially since running times have been cut do to the 100 degree weather we are having UGH its HOT!!!!

The wedding was beautiful definitely the wedding of 2010...

I was honored to be there the first day they met and was honored to stand up and be a part of the bridal party at their wedding. Erika was breath taking and in true Maymi form it was an unforgettable blast filled with so many memories to last a life time.

River does this thing with his eyes every time someone says hi to him when they first see him. I can't decide if he does it because he is shy, and if he cant see you then you cant see him? Or if he is just going to be a flirt....

Home Depot does a Kids Club the first Sat of every month you should sign up your lil one it is a free activity that can be fun.

However Tammy and I had a tough start, we messed up our project twice and had to take out all the nails that Makena hammered in which I guess was ok since that was Makenas favorite part. We offered to purchase the finished project more than once ;)

But we finally finished the periscope and Makena earned her pin. I even got one too! :) Makena dressed herself today notice all her bling and her colored hair extensions... a true princess! Or as she would say she got Lovely for the day!
