Has it really been 3 moths?!?!

Holy cow! I cannot believe what a slacker I am.

Well I have some catching up to do. How is already Sept.? I am looking forward to cooler temps this summer was a scorcher. I am a little tired of being a human salt lick ;) The babies on the other hand love my salty legs.

This Lil Mr turned 8 in June I am not even sure how that happened. Just the other day I got something in the mail from my vet that said how to take care of your senior pet for Lilly, I got Oscars last year makes me sad both my babies are seniors :(

I went and saw Sheryl Crow in June. I saw her last year too she always puts on a great show.

July was even hotter and the air was SO smokey from all the fires everywhere... Thank goodness I had some amazing visitors that were in town. I was SO excited to be able to meet up with Sharlie when she was here for her family reunion. She looks Amazing and is running circles around everyone so exciting to watch all the new things she is able to do with her new lungs and heart. I love my BCF!!!!

I went over to my bros on July 4th for a bit but I headed home before fireworks. The 4th isn't one of my favorite holidays too smokey and I was SO over fireworks this year. I'm a very protective of my babies and they hate fireworks too, so I try and keep my music on a lil louder so they don't hear them.

All of the Lander fam was in town in July so we jumped on the opportunity to get a updated fam photo and of course its not a fam photo without Ricki and I in matching dresses....

Ricki and I plan matching outfits most of the time... So it was pretty funny when I went to pick her up to go to the farmers market without discussing our wardrobe prior, and we still managed to wear matching outfits. Great minds think a like...

I hope everyone had a great summer full of fun memories and lots of time spent with loved ones. Xo

Fresh air!

Well Lills is sick of being cooped up. She keeps bringing me the ball to go out and play but they said to keep her activity to a minimum.

It's so nice today so I decided to put all 3 of our leashes on and get out for a walk. It is a beautiful day out today! I hope you are enjoying your Earth day! We have SO much to be thankful for!! Xo

Day 27

Pets

Well I grew up having pets, lots of pets. When I was born my fam already had a 1/2 great Dane, 1/2 Black Lab named Kieshma, he was huge. He had a lil yorkeshire terrier side kick named Yorkie, they were the best of friends.

Then when they passed we got a lil maltese named Titus, he was pretty cute but a fam pet and I wasn't to into him. My bro and I saved a cat named Boomer and nursed him back to health when we were maybe 10. Then for my 12th Bday I got a cat named Gizmo it got ran over :( But again I still wasn't really into them.

We got lil Chicks and bunnies one year for Easter they grew up the bunnies did what they did best and gave us lots of furry friends and the Chicks laid our eggs. We also had a Shetland pony at one time all these animals and no we didn't live on a farm. I tried a iguana named shamrock out, a turtle, and a hamster named peaches even a bird (GROSS!!!! Not sure what I was thinking). I am sure there were more but I can't think of them, we eventually gave them all away to better homes/farms. I was definitely not a pet person.

NO more animals, except my mom/grammas cat named Miss Priss who was actually a kitten from Gizmo small world ;)

Again I had little interest, I am def not a cat person plus "I'm allergic" sorry to all you cat lovers. You'll also find it pretty nuts I am not really a dog person either. Sure they are cute and I do like some of the dogs I know, but really my heart only belongs to the Pug breed! Crazy... I know but something about them, or maybe its not the Pug breed at all. All I know is some way and some how these two lil pugs of mine captured my heart, not sure how they did it but they did.

They are my babies and I love them SO. They ALWAYS make me laugh, smile, keep me company, keep my lap warm, the are my lil shadows even on a cloudy day! I love my Babies!!!!

Oct 1st... really?!

 fall is in the air!!

Cancer can Suck it!!

My babies had their yearly check ups last week and 2 wks ago I noticed a spot on Lills that I never noticed before I am always checking her for bumps, moles, freckles and everything in between, because she was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with a mass cell tumor. Unfortunately after being cancer free for 3 yrs its reared its ugly head again.

:(

She has to have surgery soon... they have to remove all of the tissue down to her muscle. So another ugly scar, it breaks my heart. Good news... if there is any I guess, is that I caught it early and they should be able to get rid of the cancer with the surgery. Fingers and paws crossed!

So in the mean time we are playing ball, eating lots of treats, and getting in lots of snuggling time in.

Oscar had a great check up, his ears looked good and the doc said he could lose a few lbs even tho he is only 31 lbs his highest has been 36. I feel pretty good about his weight right now, especially since running times have been cut do to the 100 degree weather we are having UGH its HOT!!!!

Favorite Dress... Pug O war and a lil in between

This weekend lots of time outdoors and lots of ball was played. Its 75 today and beautiful... For those of you that really know me I am wearing "THE DRESS" today first day of the season :) Ill fill you all in...

You know that one article of clothing that you can't wear enough... Well I have this dress you all have seen me in it it's the one I am wearing in both pics on this blog with my babies the header and the one wear they are dressed up. Yep the turquoise one... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!!! It even made it's debut when I was in the TOBI calendar. It fits great is SO comfy and no bra needed. I bought it in NY at H&M 4 years ago and I haven't been able to find anything like it since, that is why it seems to gets cycled in at least once a week in the spring/summer. We all started calling it "The Dress" So just know that I am So comfortable today ;) My mom always is on the look out for something comparable (I think she gets sick of seeing me in it). But honestly nothing comes close. Patty and Kathy I am going to see if your mom can duplicate it for me in other colors when she gets here. I have heard she is Very talented. Then I can wear it EVERYDAY!!!! :)

I also have a Jimmy Buffet T shirt that I seem to wear a ton too... Only in private tho its one of my pj tees. It has holes and I wore it while painting once. oops I am not a neat painter. It started out being a bright yellow it is now a light yellow peach....

I rode my Vespa ALL over this weekend too... Loving this Spring weather. My house is getting hot I refuse to turn the air on tho and I cant open windows because we have these beautiful but VERY STINKY trees that line my street I will have to take a pic. But they are in FULL bloom and In FULL stink!

Nothing but blue skies!!! So Heidi The babies and I followed suite. To bad you and Roxy live a state away we could be walking together...

Yesterday was the third day for our lil jaunts. We just walk up and down the street a couple times and enjoy the fresh air and some much needed natural vitamin D.

After we are done walking I let them run around off leash and take care of business ;)

Today tho its suppose to snow and it will throughout the weekend. But I am ok with that fresh air is PRICELESS!!

River wasn't exactly to sure of the pugs he would close his eyes when they came up close but then he would get all excited when they started to walk away.... so cute! They are all about giving kisses too! In the mean time Makena just can't get enough of them.

The Babies LOVE their cousin Makena! They follow her every where and can't get enough of her. It's so sad to see them when she leaves especially Osc he just mopes around. We introduced River to the babies. Ill post that video tomorrow it's too funny!

4 shipping days left...

Wow I can't believe it's Fri... This week has flown by.

I had my 3 month follow up appt from the joint on Mon. I blew a 37 so one point less than when I was discharged. So not bad but as you all know not my on going five year goal now of 42. So I came home and started the "42 will come true" Challenge. So I jumped on the treadmill for 30 min and its been about 2 months since I have been on it well I think I over did it. I popped a blood vessel again. So I have been dealing with that nasty taste of metal and streaking this week. The twins have still been bleeding a lil so I got on a high dose of Vitamin K to try and stop it and today it finally did... (knock on wood) So I am taking it easy til Mon and then balls to the walls right Ronnie? ;)

On top of all that I live in Smog Lake City! Holy cow the air in Utah is horrendous gotta love that Valley living. It is so bad right now. I am currently on house arrest which makes Christmas errands impossible, oh well I only have a lil more to do. The twins are a lil sore from all this particulant matter floating around.

The babies also had a vet appt to get some spots looked at. Lilly had a mass cell tumor 2 years ago and had to have a chunk of her removed so I try to stay on top of that. Osc had a tumor removed and Lills had a biopsy done on one of her spots and they are both cancer free! YAY!!!

I am so excited I have some good news to announce next week so stay tuned. Christmas is coming early for me :)

I have had some fun Christmas parties this week and getting together with friends I haven't seen in a while. Last night all my college roommates got together for dinner. It was so fun Thanks Nat again for all your planning!

I hope you all are enjoying your family and friends because really that is what this season is all about!

So the video is bad, it was early 8 am. The babies and I were still SO sleepy... I don't know who is more excited me or them. They are following me everywhere I go, they aren't leaving my side at all. I am so glad they are back! :)

How cute are my babies... they just lay right next to the treadmill and patiently wait for me to finish. Their favorite part of my workout is when I do sit ups and push ups. They think its wrestle mania time. After I get them to relax they lay right next to me again. The best sit ups are when you have a pug on your belly really works those abs ;)

I usually shave the babies but I didn't in July and I haven't yet in Aug, I have been using the FURminator. It is AMAZING!! Oscar loves it which is funny because it is usually hard to get him to try anything new, and it really works... Lilly doesn't mind it but it is not her favorite. However, she doesn't shed as much as Osc and her coat is a bit shorter. I think I will go back to shaving them in Sept. I chose not to since they are in the sun so much and shaving them increases their risk of skin cancer and Lills doesn't need anything to increase her risk.

Merlot Nasal Cleanse

Geez I have been having a rough time lately, first the grout then the tree. Well then last night I had a glass of wine and I can't remember if I coughed or if it went down the wrong pipe, all I know is it went down wrong and came back up out my nose. It was an awful experience, I couldn't breathe for 5 sec. Believe me 5 sec when the twins already have a hard time with the whole CO2 and O2 exchange seems like an eternity. So I made some weird nose ran to the sink and started splashing water on my face and blowing bubbles in the water with my nose. My dad ran over to me thinking something was terribly wrong and then had to chuckle when he realized I was just being my dramatic self. I blew my nose and it was purple. My glass of wine had floaters in it. I know TMI but it really cleared my passages :)

Then I am sitting out on my patio and I have been getting bit by mosquitos lately. So I got some citronella candles. Well I am not a candle expert, and when I saw 2 mosquitos come close to me I picked up the candle to have them get a whif and my right pointer finger was right on the glass where the wick was. Needless to say I burnt my entire finger tip pad, I don't think I have a finger print on that finger anymore. Of course its a glass candle and my first instinct was to drop it well I couldn't, not wanting to break the candle or the table I just spent hours on. So I carefully placed it down as my finger was melting. I ran inside and poured soy sauce over my burn. Soy sauce is suppose to take the sting out, I learned that in Taiwan. It seemed to work but it was pretty sore, burns are so horrible. Well today my finger is numb it almost has a callous over it probably cause I wash my hands 345,098 times a day and I don't believe in lotion. So I basically just burnt dead skin... you know that feeling when you get super glue on your fingers that's what it feels like, like a poured super glue all over my tip of my finger... very bizarre!

Good news tho... today is a new day and I am hoping after all that my stars and planets are going to start agreeing with each other again!

Wed is a BIG day Granny Love turns 100!! She is the cutest, feistiest lil thing.

The Babies are so good when I sit on my front porch they just chillax right there with me. I am training them and they are both doing such a good job with it, it's a lil harder for lills tho. They sit at the top of the stairs and look out its so cute!

Tuesday 10

*This is how I felt this morning before my albuterol and coffee

*Last week Osc and Lills had their yearly check ups. They got their shots and Lills had a clean bill of health she is 2 years cancer free now!! Woop Woop. Osc on the other hand had a ear infection which I feel so bad I had no idea. He was acting a lil lazy and when I throw the ball he was just hanging by my side while lIlly did all the work so I was nervous he was just getting older or his hip or knees were bothering him but I guess it was just his ears poor guy. So I have had to clean his ears daily and he has been on abx ear drops and pill for 10 days only a couple more left. The whole way there and back Lilly sat in Makenas car seat it is the first time they have been in my car with that in there, it was SO cute.

*So I figured out what I am doing to my front porch furniture, I can't wait. I ordered everything on line so I am just waiting for it to get here. I already took my before pics :)

*My lil Cystas Astra and Mackenzie are home now. Today is Mackenzie's Bday!! Happy BDay Mackenzie :) And Astra's bday is in 6 days! You guys might remember her from the TOBI calendar in 2008 she was Miss July.

*Thinking about getting a tattoo.... Just need to find a nice sterile environment for that.
