Still going strong....

Ok Day 8 of the Blog Challenge

A place you have traveled to

Well being that it's only 8 more days til my 2nd fav holiday I immediately thought of Ireland.

But I already wrote about Ireland in this post here

And most of the other amazing places I have traveled to were before I had a digital camera so all the pics are all in my scrapbooks.... Yep I use to be a scrapbooker.

So I decided I will tell you about where I want to go, the places I have yet to visit that are somewhere on my bucket list. Here's just a few....

~Prague

~Bali

~Australia

~Japan- I have been here twice but I was younger and I would LOVE to go back

~Ireland- I LOVE the motherland and would love to of course go there again and maybe spend a couple hours sitting here

~North Carolina specifically the OBX and stay at this house on the beach

~The Oregon Coast

~Bora Bora and stay here

This last picture of Bora Bora I find if I stare at it long enough without blinking then shut my eyes I can imagine being there. Then Oscar or Lilly will bark and it disrupts my vision and boom back to reality ;)

Happy Place

Day 6 of the Blog Challenge

A picture of something that makes you happy

I took this pic in Hawaii off of Makena beach to be exact. Best beach in Maui.....
Anyways the beach would be my happy place. I love everything about the beach. The warmth of the sand between your toes, the sounds of the waves crashing, the sun, and the way time stands still.

Love in The City

To the East side
The west side
The North side and the South side.
So take me back to Manhattan that dear old dirty town!!

I did it!! I visited the BIG apple after 4 1/2 long years. It is the farthest I have been for a very long time. I love my Ever Go and even tho after I am done packing and my suitcase is 96% medical and I look like I may be part of doctors without borders. Its not that bad.

Everyone in security was so nice and eager to help. When I asked they were happy to put on clean gloves while searching thru my bag. Wearing O2 on the plane wasn't that bad either, of course I got the head tilt but I guess that is to be expected. Did I tell you how much I love my Ever Go well I do and it made the trip worry free. However not sure I am sold on the red eye... I didn't sleep a wink!

Well you all know me and my love for Purell well both flights were full and right when the girl next to me sat down she sneezed 3 times in her hand... EWWWW! After much coercing I got her to use some of my purell. I of course squirted it in her hand for her let's just say she may have gotten a lil more than she wanted ;) Then the lady next to her asked for some which made me happy.

NY was SO hot and SO muggy... The humidity is hard on me I am not sure how some of you in those humid areas do it. Thank goodness for the de humidifier ;) and how lucky am I to have such amazing friends who are always willing to stop and rest and take breaks for their elderly friend ;) They are the very BEST!

US +

FABULOUS TIME!!!!!!

I am waiting for Mariel to send me pics of her BIG 3~0 bash so until then you will just have to picture us singing our hearts out to our fav kareoke numbers.

I visited Mariel in the city at her work in this BIG fancy building...

She is the Senior photo Editor at In Style magazine.

Actually she is spotlighted in the June issue with Salma Hayek on the cover I made her sign my copy. I can say I knew her when...

When she wore teenage mutant ninja turtle pj's. ;)

So Sassy
I made her sign the inside too!
Oh and for all you pug lovers pug hill is no longer :( I guess after the book came out the secret was up and the pug owners stopped taking their babies there. hmm perhaps I should start a pug hill in Slc ;)

Vitamin D and a whole lot more...

Ok I am getting all caught up I just got back from vacation in Az, aka The Valley of the Sun! I had a blast as always! I stayed in my lil slice of heaven with Odie and Nannels. It was very relaxing and the perfect temp. I wasn't as good as laying out as I usually am. I am VERY white right now and I didn't want to burn so I traded off sun and shade and wore 45 all over.

Sat night I went to a 50th wedding anniversary with some close friends of the fam it was so great to see everyone! The Moskal daughters pulled off a fabulous party for their parents. Two of the daughters are my blogging buddies Kathy and Patty. It was SO good to see them click on their names to read their blogs, I have known them both forever they use to babysit me :) I wish I could of spent more time with them. Hmm perhaps the next Moskal reunion should be in SLC???

Kath,Patty & I

I thought this pic was funny... Our feet ? Looks like it might be the bottom of the pic above.

Sunday I went to a fun BBQ with some friends that I haven't seen for a while as well. It was good to catch up with them. Mon I got to go to lunch with my good friend Summer from High school. Yep 2 of us... We spell it different tho but in high school both of or last names started with Mc. I hadn't seen her for 3 years, she just moved to Az so I am excited to see her more often! I got to meet her cute lil baby Adia who is such a doll. That night I got to spend time with my Cousins which is always fun and Odie cooked us some AMAZING steaks mmmmm!

Sum and I with Baby Adia

Tues I had to leave and I always wish I could just have a couple more days. I met up with my Cyster Sara for coffee before my flight. I wish we would have had more time together but I will be back again soon. It was SO great to finally meet her in person! She is SO fabulous and at the end of our visit Mike her husband met up with us. I am so glad I got to meet them both they are such an amazing couple. We were so pressed for time and were covering so many things that we forgot to get a photo. I am so bummed, but we will next time for sure! We were talking about the e mails that Sharlie, Sara and I were sending back in forth when we first came up with "Cysters" and Sara asked what we should refer to the guys as.... so now we have Cysters and Fibros! So Ronnie you are our Fibro :) We are looking into getting a patent for these ;)

So I was way paranoid to fly with this whole Swine flu. So I wore a mask from the Az curb to the SLC curb. I wish there was a hidden camera in the mask because the looks and comments were quite entertaining.

A couple comments I got:

Guy sitting across the aisle from me~ "Should we be afraid of you or are you afraid of us"

Husband~"Look she has a mask"
Wife~"jealous"

Daughter to her Mom~ "What? Why is she wearing a mask"

Girl in front of me~ "Sorry I fell asleep did you hear me make a noise"
Me~ "Oh no you're fine" with a sweet chuckle
Girl~"Oh good I didn't want you to think I was a freak"
Me~"Um I am the one in the mask"
Girl~ "Yeah so do you just not want to get sick?"

Lady in front of me in the security line~ "So are you scared of the Swine flu?" a lil snidely
Me~ YES! and I also have a lung disease so I am trying to stay healthy.
LAdy~ "ahh oh stumbling for words I am sorry to hear that" at least she didn't tilt her head :)

wearing my mask
Mother's day is less than 2 weeks away... The perfect gift would be a Love to Breathe necklace!

Happy St Pattys Day!!!

The Blarney Castle is near Cork Ireland, I went there with my family when I was 13. I climbed to the very top and kissed the stone upside down. I now have the gift of gab or eloquence whatever you prefer. Here are some of my pics from that trip.

For over 200 years, world statesmen, literary giants, and legends of the silver screen have joined the millions of pilgrims climbing the steps to kiss the Blarney Stone and gain the gift of eloquence. Its powers are unquestioned but its story still creates debate.
Me kissing the stone (gotta love my outfit, obviously I had no germ issues when I was lil)

If I had the chance to kiss it today there is no way!!! Supposedly the locals pee on it at night and not to mention think how many lips have been on that. YUCK!!! I can guarantee they don't sanitize it.

My family had the chance to go back to Ireland for St. Patty's Day 2002. It was right after we had the Olympics in Utah and my Dad went around and collected 12 green Olympic Jackets off the volunteers bodies so that we could all wear them on our trip. There was 12 of us all in the same coat they thought we were a pretty big deal over there :) Below are pics from that trip...

Me on the Big day in a lil cafe by our hotel
My Bro Shane at the Guinness factory!
Im on a double decker bus getting a tour of Dublin
I loved the all the front doors in Ireland
Well I told you a lil about my St Patty's day 2007... I had planned this HUGE trip to Ireland with my friend and my Dad was telling everyone about the great deal we found and more and more people wanted to go. So about 20 of my family and friends were all set to go. Well the weekend before the big trip I got really sick. I tried to manage it with oral abx but it was a horrible strain of the flu and it kicked my butt. I ordered O2 for the plane because I was getting so nervous and knew I felt so bad but after 3 days on Abx I wasn't getting any better. So the day we were suppose to leave my family and friends left for the airport and My mom took me up to "My Ireland". I was SO bummed and I told my mom I didn't want any decorations knowing the theme would be St Pattys Day. Well she had already had bags of decorations ready to go knowing that I was gong to end up there and not on that plane. So she decorated and there was green everywhere. My fam called me or should I say DD'd me often, they had a great time. I wish I could of gone, but I was so sick I am glad I made the decision I did. So plans were in the works for something great for St Pattys Day 2008 but I ended up in "My Ireland" again. I am so glad this year to be out of the joint :) on my second favorite holiday!

Here is some of the group that went in 2007. This pic was in their hotel lobby.
Here is me in "My Ireland" love my Shamrock glasses

This was Oscs first St Pattys Day. I use to buy him shirts for all the holidays he really hated it!

11 years ago at The Oscars

Wow it's crazy to think that 11 years ago on March 23rd 1998 my Dad and I were walking down the red carpet....

I could of sworn I had pics in my scrapbook but I think I took them out to frame for my Dad for a present one year. I will have to snap a photo of it next time I am over at his house. You can still get an idea of what we looked like walking down the fancy red carpet with the photos I posted. I remember it like it was yesterday, we were running late due to the horrible traffic and our limo was probably #29 in the line 0f 100 and something waiting to pull up to the red carpet. We finally arrived and out we went, as soon as we stepped out of the limo flashes were going off and all the paparazzi were taking our pics. About a minute and 47 flashes later they realized we weren't famous. So in we shuffled as many stars were giving their red carpet interviews. It was so crazy to see everyone in real life. I was in awe, and was taking it all in moment by moment. Here are some pics from my BIG night....
