YES!!!! MY Super hero is at it again....

He got the vent out!!! He is walking the halls!!!! He got a GIANT Pepsi and watched the final four games yesterday!!! 

Will I am so proud of you!!! You are AMAZING!!! Keep up the great job! You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. You are going to be out of the joint in no time!!

 HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY BRO!!!!!!

Wow 30 years ago today you were born.... On your very first Bday the pic with you and mom and dad dressed up as a clown. I am surprised you aren't screaming in fear!! Although you have always liked clowns. Remember when I was hanging from the clown shelf in your room and they all came tumbling to the ground. I must of been such a pain in your ass :) But you always seemed to love me no matter what!!! Thanks bro for all your support and love throughout the years. I could and can always count on you to have my back. 

You have grown up to be such a great guy...So responsible, a fabulous husband, and an AMAZING Dad!! You are so cute with Makena and she loves you so very much!! I am so proud of you bro! Thanks for being the bestest Big Bro a girl could have. Happy 30th Birthday!! Cheers, to 30 great years........ and so many more to follow.

Bath day!!

Well They are not to happy with me but Oscar is so handsome and Lilly is so petty now! At first they get very excited and they jump right in....

Half way through Lilly jumps out with suds all over and then Oscar tries to escape too. But he is not as quick as Lilly it could be the extra 12 lbs or so. But they are both smelling like mint. 

Oscar absolutely hates getting toweled off. He bites at the towel and started doing a  yelp/scream/singing tune every time the towel gets close.

 I will try to video it next time. 

The real trick is to see if I can bath them without getting drenched myself. Today I was soaked thanks to my escapee. Lilly is a nut!

Tricia is being prepped for surgery! It could be a dry run but it is sounding like this pair is perfect! Pray for her, the TX team and her donor family.

Today is Nates Bday too! I don't think he could of asked for a better gift.

What a Miracle!

UPDATE: The surgery was a success!!! She should be off the vent later today or tomorrow, and breathing with her new lungs.... Please still keep her and her family and the donors family in your prayers.

Here is the next upcoming Web Cast produced by the Cystic fibrosis Foundation. I am already signed up also if you go to the foundations web site they have a list of archived Web Casts. I really like these they give you a chance to hear from other centers and other docs and they update you on all the new developments....

This year's Web cast series will be in a new four part format.  Each part will feature an expert discussing the latest information on a topic of their expertise. Questions can be submitted in advance or during the Web cast to be answered at the end of each segment. The April 30th Web Cast will feature:

• Michael Schechter, MD, MPH, from Emory will discuss the hazards of second-hand smoke for people with CF and the best ways to avoid it.
  
  
• Anne Mejia Downs, PT, MPH, CCS, from the University of Indianapolis will talk about exercise and cystic fibrosis. She’ll give tips on what to do, how it fits in with other therapies and daily life.
  
  
• Patrick Flume, MD, from the Medical University of South Carolina will discuss the recommended therapies that people with CF can use to maintain lung health, according to recently published CFF guidelines for the use of chronic cystic fibrosis medications.
  
  
• Mary Lester, RRT, from the Medical University of South Carolina will demonstrate techniques for airway clearance (ACT). She will show the different forms of airway clearance and give tips for how to fit this therapy into daily life.
