Inspired!!

Okay so I decided to give this blogging thing a chance.

My good friend Terri Harbison inspires me every day thru her blog on my "super hero". So I figured I would give it a shot, I have also have found it is a great tool to communicate with family, friends and to the CF community. Last night I posted my first "Test" blog. It wasn't as bad as I was thinking. I am still trying to figure most of it out so be patient.

LOTS OF HEARTS!

You go, Grrrllll !!!

Hi Somer!!! Thank you so much for your comments on Will's blog -- they mean a lot to me... And I wish you much luck on your own blog! Good luck!!!

I loved reading about your Vespa -- I guess I'm just a little bit jealous... And I love the picture of you with your pups -- it's just kinda joyous...

Lotsa people have lotsa purposes for their blogs -- some are just a journal of their lives and experiences -- some are meaningful bits they come across in life... I don't know what you'll be doing -- but I'll be taking a peek now and then! I sometimes follow a beautiful chick in the UK who got her lungs a year ago -- pinkandsmiley... I think I like the way the Brits phrase things -- and she wrote with such emotion and fun... I posted about her a few times -- you can see it here (love the video) and here (one of her post transplant adventures...)

I blog and post stories involving organ donation and transplant with two friends at www.ReviveHope.com I generally post on Thursdays... I also cross post all of my Revive Hope posts on my MySpace blog...

Your interview in the news story about Will was just beautiful -- as are you... And as you pointed out, I think it does help to follow others in this journey to have an idea where you may be going someday -- Will is inspirational... So are you.

A week from tomorrow, I will have lived eight years with my beautiful, new lungs -- it's a very special day. Painful, because I think of my precious donor and her family and friends -- and their loss... And joyful because I think of the gift she's given me and the things I've been able to do... I'm looking forward to hearing about Will's eight transplant anniversary and all of the amazing things he's done -- and if I get to hear it, I'll be celebrating my 16th...

I hope you stay healthy enough -- I hope they come up with an effective treatment for this nasty disease... But if you ever take the path that Will and I have taken -- I hope you get what you need quickly, and I hope your recovery and life after is as amazing as mine has been...

You take care, Somer -- I'm proud of you...

Love,

Steve
