Handle with Care
Ok now that I finished The Hunger games Trilogy I am on to my next good read...
I am reading
Jodi is an amazing author, this is not the first book I have read by her and definitely not the last. I also really loved My sister's keeper. She really makes each book and character come to life. She is relentless when it comes to researching every detail of her subject matter. She writes about many disabilities that are unknown and by doing this she raises awareness and is educating people through her work. Definitely changing lives and making a difference.
Handle with Care is no different I love Willow and love how she is seen as a child and not a disability. I think many of us can identify with that. I actually e mailed Jodi I would love to see her write a book about CF. She doesn't have plans to do so at this time, but she never says never :)
Have any of you read this book? What did you think? No spoilers tho I am not finished yet.

Is what time I woke up today..... Geez this is not ok. I am going to have to start going to bed earlier which is something I am not very good at doing. Anything before midnight will be a good goal to start with! I have always been a night owl, I kind of feel like most cysters and fibros are... Wouldn't you agree? I feel like I have jet lag minus the Jet!

I am starting a workout regime today... I'll keep you posted on that. Bikini season is upon us... I am embarking on operation 6 pak :)

I am reading Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang right now it's Chelsea Handlers new book it is Hilarious!!! Her last book was "Are you there Vodka it's me Chelsea" I need to get the books before that one. I have heard they are even funnier which I can't imagine how they could be she is a laugh a minute! I find myself laughing out loud on almost every page.

Celebrated St Pattys with my fam last night my mom makes the BEST cornbeef and cabbage... I took enough left overs to last me the week! Makena and I painted our nails green we are ready for Wed!

Happy Mon everyone! I hope you have a great day! Xo

Love is ALL around!
It is so true, everywhere I look I see love...

I just read Beyond Breathing by Margarete Cassalina CLICK HERE to visit her web site.
I really recommend you get this book, plus 65% of her royalties go directly back to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to fund research to find that sought after cure. Remember 99 cents of every dollar donated to the CFF goes directly to research!

So back to reading this amazing book... I started it after dinner one night and the next thing I knew it was 2 am and I was finished and felt like I had gained a new friend! Margarete is SO strong and very inspiring, this book moved me in so many ways. I feel like I already live by so many of the lessons that I took from this book. I guess reading this book just validated my thoughts and confirmed my purpose. (thank you Avenue Q)
Jena is an inspiration! I know that she lived a VERY full life and accomplished so much in her 13 short years here on earth than most people do in a WHOLE lifetime! Jena said "when you can see love you can see me" How smart is that... For those of you that know me know I couldn't agree more with Jena. Love is so many things, and giving all your love and touching as many lives as you can while on this earth is what I think life is all about! Jena's love lives on in all the lives she has touched and all the lives she continues to touch each and every day.
"When you can see Love, You can See Me" Jena Cassalina

Love has also touched my Cyster Eva... She is dying and still has SO much LOVE to give! She posted a video on her blog with such a powerful message to just LOVE! I wish you peace Eva and lots of LOVE! Please say a prayer that she will get a third chance at life, she So deserves it. She is SO strong and isn't done LOVING yet...
I wish you ALL a VERY Happy LOVE day! I hope it is filled with lots of LOVE and so many hugs! Go out and LOVE for Jena and Eva! Xo

May is
Officially Cystic Fibrosis Awareness month and we all know we have some awareness to spread. The need for a cure is greater than ever! So keep on keeping on so we can all make CF stand for CURE FOUND!!!
I like to read memoirs about the inspiring stories of people with CF. I was recently asked to read
SIXTY FIVE ROSES: A sister's Memoir By Heather Summerhayes
I was excited to read it, Pam was diagnosed back in 1958 when she was 4 years old and back then really there was no treatment for children with CF. They weren't expected to live much into their child hood. So during those times the diagnosis was a bit depressing. However, Pam defied the limits and lived life to the fullest and taught her older sister Heather how to live.
I thought it was very interesting to see how far we have come from 1958 to 2009. Just think we now have 30+ drugs in the pipeline, these drugs will allow patients to hopefully live well beyond the 37 year old life expectancy. There is so much more hope now then there was in 1958.
I also thought it was very interesting to hear the perspective of a healthy sibling living with a CFer. It made me reflect a lil bit on what my bros maybe had to deal with and still do to this day.

Click here to read more about the author and this book. A portion of the proceeds from this book are going to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Celine wrote the forward and Eva Longoria has purchased the film rights. Have any of you read this book? I would love to know what you thought.
